CiC events post-summer 2021
Sorry to disrupt the tranquility and calm that is often associated with August by introducing a post-summer theme before the end of the month!
I really do hope you are managing to take time to rest and refresh following such a turbulent and challenging season.
However, I did want to let you know about some exciting events that we have lined up and I really hope they make an appearance in your calendars!
So before you read on, it might be worth having your diary to hand.
As many of you know, Phil and his daughters have been leading worship faithfully at our bi-monthly Ministers' Fellowship since lockdown. Although this is not a CiC event, the induction ceremony is open to all our members and is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate Phil's appointment with him and his family.
Ministers' Fellowship Online, 15th September, 1100am - 1230pm
We are excited to welcome, amongst other guests, Nastassia Holness from Operation Mobilisation (OM). Nastassia will be sharing how the work of OM is impacting those in countries such as Afghanistan and Myanmar, and how we, and our members, can partner with efforts to make Christ known across the world.
Safeguarding Training, 16th October, 1000am - 1230pm
If you missed the three successful training courses provided by safeguarding experts 31:8, then this is your chance to access the final course hosted by CiC in 2021. During the session, attendees will be equipped with the tools and information necessary to navigate safeguarding in today's world.
Annual Members' Meeting, 18th November, 1030am - 1230pm
You spoke and we listened! Following the feedback received after the first online AMM in 2020, CiC has taken the decision to transition the AMM into an online format going forward. We hope that this will make the compulsory meeting more accessible to members. As the continuance of your accreditation with CiC is impacted by your attendance at this meeting, please book in and ring fence this date in your calendar.
I don't know about you, but I am slowly starting to make entries in my diary for 2022! Therefore, we would welcome you to book early for our new bi-annual conference. This will be a fantastic opportunity for you to bring your teams, colleagues and staff members to learn more about the work of CiC and to explore what God is saying and doing in the independent church sector.
Finally, with the UK making such good progress in returning to some kind of normality after the hardships of the last 18-months, the team and I at CiC are aware that September may mean changes to the way you work and minister. Please be assured of our prayers and the availability of our support.
