Safeguarding | Last chance for training and Sunday Focus
Re: Safeguarding Training, 16th October, 10:00am - 12:30pm, Zoom
We are just a few weeks away from Safeguarding Sunday. On 10th October, the Church of England, and hundreds of churches from other denominations across the country, will be highlighting the importance of safeguarding. Organisers, thirtyone:eight, created the initiative to explore what safer places look like and seek to enable churches to lead the way in protecting the most vulnerable. There is still time to register your participation in this event.
In light of the upcoming event, I wanted to take this opportunity to invite those who haven't completed a recent safeguarding training course, to join us on:
SAFEGUARDING TRAINING - 16th October, 10:00am - 12:30pm.
Our recent partnership with thirtyone:eight has proved incredibly successful! The three courses provided so far were fully booked, with 90 CiC ministers attending and completing the course. Being a fellow minister within CiC, I also attended and was thoroughly impressed by the quality and relevance of the information shared. As we return to ministry, both gathered and online, the training is an invaluable resource to enable us to keep our members safe.
thirtyone:eight worked closely with us to develop the course in light of the needs and challenges faced by those ministering in the independent church sector.
Furthermore, in the knowledge that time and resources are limited for our members, thirtyone:eight have adapted their five hour course to just 2.5 hours on Zoom and reduced the price from £90 to £35.
Given that Foundation/Level 3 or equivalent in children and adults safeguarding training is now mandatory for all CiC ministers, we have increased the capacity of this course to 40.
As this is the final course we will be hosting with thirtyone:eight this year, I would encourage you to secure your place quickly. Remember, failure to provide proof of completing a suitable safeguarding course will invalidate your ministerial status within CiC.
So please click here to book your place.
We look forward to seeing you on 16th October, 10:00am - 12:30pm.
