India COVID Response Appeal
Enabling churches in India to respond to COVID-19
India has seen more Covid deaths in the last seven days than any other country. The devastating second wave has caused the death toll to surpass 200,000.
With only 1.6% of the population fully vaccinated and a health care system that is crumbling under the strain, many are dying waiting for beds and oxygen.
The situation is likely to get worse.
We need to act now.
CiC is inviting you to make a donation to Christian Rights Organisation (CRO), a CiC member organisation, who work with 1,000 pastors across India. The money raised will make a tangible difference on the frontline, by resourcing local churches and ministries who are working with those most affected by this deadly second wave.
CRO founder, Bishop Dhanapal, describes the situation in the following words:
'[It is] so sad about the state of Christian believers, pastors and families, as they are suffering badly spiritually, physically and financially. Many have died too. If you have any resources that you could send us, we could match it to those needs here and help people in our area and through churches."
Please join us as we partner with CRO to provide relief and comfort to our brothers and sisters in India who are suffering at this time.
In light of the urgency, this appeal will close on Friday 7th May at 21:00, so that money can be sent to India and put to use on the ground as quickly as possible.

Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:15-17
